Classes Offered:

Course Title: ACTING
Prerequisite: None
This course is designed to inspire in students an interest in theatre, refine understanding of the art and establish selfconfidence through improvisation, monologues and scene study.

Course Title: INTERMEDIATE ACTING
Prerequisite: Middle School Acting or approval of instructor
This course is designed to refine the students' skills by providing increased ability to analyze and interpret theatrical material. This course will encourage and support performance ethic, appreciation of the creative process, and script analysis as it relates to both the visual and performance aspects of the arts.

Course Title: ADVANCED ACTING
Prerequisite: Intermediate Acting and/or approval of instructor
This course is designed to enhance the students' acting skills, broaden their understanding of theatre art and deepentheir analytical skills and appreciation of the creative process. Students will explore and experience a variety of acting styles, techniques including the fundamentals of directing and theatre technology.

Course Title: ADVANCED DRAMA HONORS
Prerequisite: Intermediate Acting, Advanced Acting with a grade Of B or better, or approval of instructor
This course will offer the advanced Theatre student an in-depth understanding of the impact theatre styles have hadupon theatrical development. The student will explore historical perspectives in Acting as well as theatre design, andwill examine these elements through a combination of lecture, discussion, research and practical implementation.

Course Title: TECHNICAL THEATER
Prerequisite: None
This course offers the student hands-on experience in set design and construction, lighting and sound design, scene painting, graphic arts and publicity, costume and makeup design. Students will be designing for theatre production, dance recitals, and individual design in their own area of emphasis.

Course Title: ROP STAGEHAND TECHNICIAN
Prerequisite: 16 years of age or older
This course provides entry level and upgrade level-training in the skills required for technical theater operations. Employment possibilities include set designer, set construction technician, lighting technician, sound technician, costume designer/technician, make-up technician stage manager. Instruction covers the following areas: safety, set construction, lightning, sound, costume, make-up, stage management, and professional aspects of the industry. Students use equipment which includes: light construction hand and machine tools, painting equipment and supplies, sound board equipment, electrical lighting equipment and controls and pulley and rigging equipment.

Course Title: DRAMA PRODUCTION
Prerequisite: Audition/Interview and approval of instructor
This course is designed to provide a deeper understanding of drama through the creative process of theatre production and performance.Through active participation in production and performance, students analyze, compare and contrast their work, evaluate the process, and critique their development as an artist.
